See how the other half lived.  Situated on an 800 acre estate, Glen Eyrie is an English Tudor-style castle built in 1871 for General William Jackson Palmer, the founder of Colorado Springs. There are 17 guest rooms in the castle, as well as seven meeting rooms including the Castle Great Hall, and two dining rooms.  There are tours daily, plus you can pop in for afternoon tea. The castle is located on the northwest side of town, near the Garden of the Gods.
